While they do not claim to be exhaustive, these circuits can show various facets of mining heritage: the waste tips, the miners&#8217; housing developments, the machinery, the headgear structures etc. These circuits last a few hours, details can be downloaded here.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The interactive map above shows the location of the 353 items listed as UNESCO World Heritage. Visitors are free to visit the sites as they wish. Bear in mind however that not all items listed are necessarily open to tourists.
